Everyday Development: Meaningful Interactions

Everyday Development was launched in September 2024 and the initial feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. The focus for this half term was for staff to take part in a meaningful interaction to support with their own personal development and to contribute to the wider success of our school communities. We have seen some fantastic interactions taking place, here are a few examples of how staff have used these interactions to grow in their roles and achieve their professional goals:

  • Leadership Growth: A Senior Leader is strengthening their senior leadership skills by participating in inclusion panels and taking on voluntary on-call duties.
  • SEND & Behaviour: One staff member recently joined a permanent exclusion meeting, focusing on SEND needs and behaviour management.
  • Coaching for Success: Support staff have trained as coaches, they will support colleagues in their leadership journey from January.
  • Enhancing SEND Support: One of our Learning Support Assistants is collaborating with a writing lead, to ensure colourful semantics are used effectively in writing lessons.
  • Teaching Pathways: Another Learning Support Assistant is working towards becoming a teacher with expert guidance from colleagues who have followed a similar journey.

These meaningful interactions are a great example of how our staff are taking proactive steps to invest in their professional development. We are proud to support them every step of the way!
