We are excited to introduce our new Everyday Development (EDD) Framework, designed to replace traditional appraisal frameworks and to foster a culture of continuous growth, retention, and wellbeing for all our staff.
Our previous appraisal framework has been valuable, but staff feedback highlighted areas for improvement – particularly around autonomy, time spent doing paperwork, and not spending enough time with their line manager to explore ideas.
EDD key highlights include:
Flexibility: more flexible opportunities to meet with managers, and increased flexibility over deadlines and targets.
Professional Learning Hub: a centralised Hub with quick access to employee information, tools, and training resources.
Development Days: personalised goals with no rigid targets, and fluidity and flexibility to fit individual needs.
Personalised Goals: development days for self-reflection and to invest in personal development and career planning.
This dynamic framework aims to empower staff to achieve personal goals, boost productivity, and cultivate a positive work environment, all while maintaining our focus on student outcomes. This is just the beginning and we can’t wait to see the outcome it has on our staff!
