At Pontefract Academies Trust, we are proud to invest in the workforce of tomorrow by offering apprenticeships. Our finance apprentices are not only gaining valuable experience but also positively contributing to our business operations, all while working towards a professional qualification.

What are our Finance Apprenticeships?

Our apprenticeships provide individuals with a deep understanding of how the financial world operates. Through a varied combination of day-to-day tasks and training, our apprentices are equipped with the knowledge and experience needed to excel in their chosen career. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with invoices and purchase orders, maintaining accurate financial records, and reconciling accounts.

Why we invest in Apprenticeships

We believe that apprenticeships are a fantastic way to cultivate talent from within. They allow us to develop skilled professionals who have received bespoke training and understand our culture and values. Apprenticeships also allow us to give back to the community through actively contributing to the development of the local talent pool.

Meet our Apprentices

We have two highly-skilled and enthusiastic apprentices, Libby and Dezal, who provide invaluable support to the Trust. We asked them to share some insight into what inspired them to pursue a finance apprenticeship:
