The King’s students in the top 10% nationally for Oxford Bebras Challenge

At the start of Term 2, Year 9 students at The King’s School had the opportunity to participate in the Oxford Bebras Challenge. The challenge is organised by the Raspberry Pi Foundation and delivered in partnership with the University of Oxford. It involves an online computational thinking test which assesses students’ problem-solving skills.

Over 240,000 students participated in the UK and we are proud to share that 10 of our students obtained the prestigious GOLD award, which means that they performed in the top 10% nationally of the 240,651 students who took part.

The students will be invited to enter the next level of the competition in January 2024, The Oxford University Computing Challenge, which aims to encourage students to develop their skills further and produce programmed solutions to computational thinking problems.

A huge well done to all our students for embracing the challenge and taking part.
